S. Korea raises cybersecurity alert level as computer language flaw sparks global security concerns
22 (Yonhap) -- South Korea's science ministry on Thursday raised the country's cyber crisis warning level up a notch, as it joined global efforts to address two critical cybersecurity flaws involving PHP, a programming language that powers most of the internet. The warning level was raised to "caution," the second lowest in its four-tier system, as of noon, while companies and government agencies were requested to carry out updates to safely patch their systems, according to the ministry.
